United Way of Northwest Alabama and First Solar Partner for “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive

Moulton, AL – United Way of Northwest Alabama is partnering with First Solar and Lawrence County Schools to help local students prepare for a successful school year through a community-wide “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive on Friday, July 17, at Walmart in Moulton.
The event will provide an opportunity for community members, local businesses, and organizations to donate much-needed school supplies for students throughout Lawrence County. A school bus provided through Lawrence County Schools will be stationed at Walmart, where First Solar associates and United Way representatives will be on-site collecting donations and encouraging community participation.
In addition to the July 17 event, First Solar employees are conducting an internal school supply drive and will be contributing donated supplies to support local classrooms.
All school supplies collected through the drive will be delivered to the Lawrence County Schools Central Office, where they will be distributed among schools across the district based on need.
United Way of Northwest Alabama is helping promote the initiative and will actively participate in the event, furthering its commitment to supporting children, education, and community well-being throughout the region.
Local businesses are especially encouraged to get involved by donating new school supplies or organizing workplace collection efforts. Community donations of items such as backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, paper, binders, and other classroom essentials will help ensure students have the tools they need to learn and succeed.
