Shoals Chamber Announces 2026 “Best of Greece: An Aegean Odyssey” Group Trip

Florence, Ala. — The Shoals Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to experience the trip of a lifetime with its upcoming group travel program, “Best of Greece: An Aegean Odyssey,” scheduled for November 1–9, 2026, with an optional Santorini extension through November 11. The trip is open to everyone. Chamber members and non-members alike are all welcome to join.

This nine-day, eight-night journey will take travelers on an immersive exploration of Greece’s ancient history, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture. The air and land package departs from Huntsville International Airport and includes round-trip airfare, first-class hotel accommodations, 18 meals, guided sightseeing, and professional tour management throughout the experience.

Highlights of the main program include five nights in the picturesque seaside town of Nafplion and two nights in Athens. Travelers will explore iconic sites such as the Acropolis and Parthenon, the ancient theater of Epidaurus, Mycenae’s famed Lion’s Gate, the Corinth Canal, and the archaeological site of Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Participants will also enjoy unique cultural experiences such as an olive oil tasting at a local farm and sampling traditional Greek ouzo, a popular licorice alcoholic beverage, along the Corinth Canal.

“This program is designed to be more than just a sightseeing tour,” said Alyssa Crow of the Shoals Chamber. “It’s an opportunity for our community, friends, families, and travelers of all backgrounds to travel together, learn together, and build lasting memories while experiencing one of the most historically rich and beautiful destinations in the world. In addition to providing an unforgettable travel experience, participation in the trip also supports the ongoing work of the Shoals Chamber and its mission to strengthen the economic vitality of the Shoals region.”

For those wishing to extend their stay, an optional two-night visit to Santorini offers stunning views of whitewashed villages perched above the Aegean Sea, wine tasting, and guided exploration of the island’s most iconic locations.

The early bird rate for the main tour is $3,899 per person double occupancy ($799 single supplement) if reserved with a deposit by March 29, 2026. After that date, pricing increases to $4,099. Space is limited and expected to fill quickly. Visit our booking website at https://tinyurl.com/SCGreece2026 to reserve your spot.
