Fisher Animal Hospital is proud to be the only veterinary practice in Florence, Alabama accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association as we have been for 50 years. AAHA's rigorous standards cover every aspect of a companion animal hospital, which means that the veterinary service you receive from an AAHA accredited practice is among the finest.

To ensure your pet remains healthy throughout his or her lifetime, we offer and recommend preventive care such as routine medical examinations, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea/tick preventives and dental care. For our senior patients, we recommend wellness screening blood work.

If your pet becomes ill, we can help. Our experienced clinicians have the knowledge to assess your pet's health status and determine if further diagnostics are needed. We have the ability to perform radiographs (x-rays) to assess bone or soft tissue concerns. Our in-house laboratory allows us to get blood work results faster. We have the capability to perform abdominal ultrasonography and echocardiography (an ultrasound of the heart). We offer gastrointestinal endoscopy, which gives us a less invasive option for diagnosing diseases of the stomach and intestines and the ability to remove foreign objects from the stomach without surgery.

From routine surgeries to more difficult procedures, our doctors are experienced and proficient. Our patients are monitored throughout anesthesia and until they are fully recovered. To ensure your pet's comfortable, we provide appropriate pain control.
