JOB OVERVIEW
- Any labor required to handle, prepare, treat, transport, label, and store lumber products for UTD.
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with 8 to 12-hour shifts including some Saturdays. The shift start time is 12:30 pm. Weekly work schedules are shared in advance.
- This position is paid hourly and eligible for overtime pay.
- No travel is expected for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform the daily task of treating wood to include loading and unloading of the cylinder, tagging wood, repackaging and repairing bundles as well as redistributing wood back into the yard to proper location and status.
- Be heavily involved in the maintenance and upkeep of the treating plant per the maintenance schedule.
- Properly complete daily production paperwork.
- Load and Tag wood properly.
- Rotate wood on the yard according to the rotation plan.
- Meet treating process change out time goals.
- Safely operate all machines in accordance with Company, OSHA and specific product procedures and recommendations.
- Complete all daily paperwork necessary to operate the equipment.
- Be on time and in compliance with Company Handbook.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Although forklift certification or experience is not required for this job to start, the Tagger must have the desire and ability to demonstrate the safe handling of a forklift during an onsite test and eventually operate a forklift when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May require prolonged standing, sitting, driving, and forklift vibration.
- Must be able to properly handle wood which may require climbing, balance, stooping, crouching, walking, and lifting.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity; fumes and airborne particles.
- Must be able to lift/carry 40 pounds.
