JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECH

REPORTS TO: CONVERSION MANAGER

Position Summary:
Functions as an Electrical Technician and help create, maintain and repair the electronic
components and equipment used in equipment or device that involves electricity. Also sometimes
work with electricians, or work on site to keep machinery and specialty equipment running
correctly.

Primary Responsibilities:
1) Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, using hand
tools and power tools.
2) Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and
hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to
circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
4) Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the
need for adjustment or repair.
5) Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
6) Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and
fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure operation and safety
of system.
7) Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job
specifications.
8) Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
9) Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
10) Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring,
equipment, and fixtures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
2. At least one-year experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of AC household current
4. Electrical, solder techniques
5. Basic Mechanical Assembly
6. Wire Gauge & Amperage Capacity knowledge
7. Basic hand tool knowledge for electrical, basic woodworking & mechanical
assemblies.
8. Automotive electrical knowledge (DC current, 12 volt through 36 volt)
9. Basic RV electrical applications (Inverter, converter, DC charger & transferr switch)
10. Able to lift 75 lbs.

Work Environment:
Physical activity includes, but is not limited to walking, bending, lifting, and carrying, reaching,
pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions resulting in medium
strength work. Minimal risk involved working in a well-ventilated, lighted and temperature
controlled environment. Able to lift at least 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
