Job Description

  • Responsible for the sale of UTD products in a specified market and to provide ongoing support to those customers.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..
  • This position is a not exempt, hourly paid position and overtime is compensated.
  • Light travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of the lumber industry preferred.
  3. Sales and customer service experience preferred.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Interacts daily with customers, prospects and suppliers using telephone, email, fax, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
  2. Sells and enters orders for products and services into the sales database.
  3. Fields customer questions to address, log and resolve issues with management as needed to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve problems and concerns.
  4. Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  5. Initiates credits when needed.
  6. Attends trade shows.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  1. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear on the phone. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit in chair for extended periods, use hands and fingers and reach with arms.
  2. This job operates in a professional office environment. Routine use of office equipment such as computers, fax machines, telephones and file cabinets.
  3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds at times
