Cosmetologist
Job Summary
The Cosmetologist will provide personal care services to enhance their client’s wellbeing. They will focus on skincare, nailcare and other beauty treatments under the supervision of the Spa Manager. Our Cosmetologist will ensure client satisfaction and returning business by building and maintaining relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Duties
Provides patients with complimentary consultations regarding skincare services.
Provides patients with instructions and educational materials that relate to their unique skin type and recommends adjustments to their skincare regiment as appropriate.
Determines patient skin care goals and objectives and recommends products and services that can reasonably facilitate attainment of those goals.
Maintains patient medical records detailing all treatment procedures, elective products, medication history, and educational materials received.
Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the offices.
Assist with answering the phone, if necessary, only when able and not with patients.
Secondary Duties
Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains said equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards.
Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.
Tracks referral sources, sends thank-you letters to the source, and posts consultation letters to the patient.
Maintains inventory-tracking system for retail and professional products.
Assist with the ordering and restocking of inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining treatment rooms and retail areas.
Maintain a valid cosmetology license in accordance with state regulations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Active State of TN License
At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a cosmetologist in a Luxury Spa performing facials and nail care.
Experience with using Building Gel is preferred.
