Treater & Team Lead - 1st Shift

  • Oversee all aspects of the treating of wood and supervision of the Treating Plant Team Members.
  • This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with 8 to 12 hour shifts including some Saturdays.  Weekly work schedules are shared in advance.
  • This position is an hourly paid position and overtime is compensated. 
  • No travel is expected for this position.

  1. Supervision of the Treating Plant Team Members .
  2. Setting up wood treatment charges to meet treating goals and entering data into the system.
  3. Ability to use Treat Right, Excel, Outlook and Access software.
  4. Oversee proper set up of plant operations and inspections.
  5. Have the ability to properly complete daily paperwork.
  6. Ensure the safety and proper training of all Treating Plant Team Members.
  7. Understand proper location and placement of all inventory and perform weekly counts of inventory.
  8. Operate all machines in accordance with Company, OSHA and specific product procedures and recommendations.
  9. Complete all daily paperwork necessary to operate equipment.
  10. Personally be on time and in compliance with Company Handbook.
  11. Any other tasks assigned by VP of Operations.
  12. Conduct pre-shift meetings, 1 on 1 training and review month bonus scorecard with team.
  13. Work with fellow Team Lead to ensure quality control procedures and results are met.

  2. General computer knowledge
  3. Knowledge of company Mission, Vision and Values and a desire to be better every day.
  4. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively and be a Team Player.
  6. Must understand basic mathematics and lumber products.
  1. May require prolonged sitting, driving, forklift vibration.
  2. Must be able to properly handle wood which may require climbing, balance, stooping, crouching, walking and lifting.
  3. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity; fumes and airborne particles.
  4. Must be able to lift/carry 40 pounds or more.
