Performs general Maintenance work involving the use of tools, Equipment, and knowledge of millwright, welding, electrical, plumbing, Installation, maintenance, and repair.

Role and Responsibilities

· Uses arc and acetylene welder to fabricate and maintain equipment and facilities.

· Uses electrical tools, hand tools, and test equipment to install and maintain electrical circuits, equipment, and fixtures.

· Use hand and power tools to install and maintain plumbing fixtures.

· Use complicated drawing and specifications, advanced shop mathematics; handbook formulas; wide variety of precision measuring instrument and use of a broad shop knowledge.

· Sustain physical effort, requiring continuity of effort, working with lightweight material; with frequent mental and visual attention.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· High School Diploma or GED

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is regularly required to stand.
  • Frequent walking to and from job sites.
  • Required to climb ladders, occasionally.
  • Operates man-lift and has to work overhead, occasionally.
  • Employee has to climb ladders, occasionally.
  • Employee has to climb on machines, frequent, to reach parts that need replacing.
  • Must have basic hand tools. (Wrenches, screw drivers, hammer, etc.)

· Plant is not air conditioned and employee must be physically able to work in high temperatures in the summer months

  • Personal protective equipment- all employees are required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and sleeve protectors.
  • Left 25 up to 50 pounds

Stand for long periods at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $19.83 per hour
