Compound Operator

Set up equipment and make all standard adjustments to start up.  Run product in efficient productive manner.  Responsible for quality and quantity of production, inspection of product, packaging, and housekeeping around equipment.  Prepare daily production report. Must be able to work ANY shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Monitors controls to ensure specified pressures, motor loads, speeds, temperatures, and weights.
-Ensure appearance, color and clarity of compounds produced.
-Positions and secures labels on bins and gaylords. Checks labels for accuracy of weights and formulation ID.
-Able to verify quality of product by visual and analytical checks.
-Observes operation of machine and verifies performance.
-Provide accurate daily production reports.
-Able and willing to climb silos.

LANGUAGE SKILLS  Basic reading and writing skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as the ability to learn to use analytical tools to check for quality.
REASONING ABILITY Must understand and follow all safety regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.            
                               -Able to lift 30 lbs. - 50 lbs.
