Interstate Billing Service is located in Decatur, Alabama.

General Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager of Specialized Billing Department (SBD) and in compliance with established policies and procedures, the Account Executive I performs support functions for the SBD department. Functions may include such tasks as customer service, data entry, payment application, identifying and monitoring company liability, and frequent client and/or customer correspondences.

 

Essential Functions:

 

·         To perform SBD duties requiring phone usage and strong communications skills.

·         Verify invoices within delegated guidelines of department. 

·         Assist clients with questions and resolve problems regarding accounts

·         Apply electronic and manual payment batches to Recourse customer accounts with assistance of AnyApp software

·         Assist in the data entry applications with the AnyDoc software used to process daily invoice batches to Recourse clients.

·         Build and maintain good client relations.

·         Prepare reports as needed for dealers or management using proprietary software as well as Microsoft products.

·         Maintain select correspondence and/or documentation received from customers and dealers via data entry or imaging.

·         Provide support for the Company’s sales efforts, which include promoting company services as opportunities arise.

·         May operate one or more standard office machines such as a computer, scanner, fax machine, printer and copier.

·         Perform job-related research from internet.

·        Backup/assist to 30-Day Credit/SBD associates as needed.

·         Assist other Departments in area as needed.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Working Conditions

·         Generally good, with little exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, dust or other adverse factors.

·         Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work leaving the department.

 

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training

·         A high school diploma or equivalent

·         Customer Service, Data Entry, and/or Payment skills are preferred

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

·         Excellent electronic and phone-based customer service skills

·         The ability to accomplish multiple objectives in a fast paced environment

·         Strong communication and team-work skills

·         The ability to develop knowledge of bank product, services, and processes

·         The ability to develop a thorough understanding of bank specific software

·         The ability to operate basic office equipment

·         Have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications of Word, Excel, and Outlook
