Front Desk Receptionist

The Coldwater Landscapes Front Desk Receptionist will provide clients, vendors, and the public with a professional and enjoyable first impression. The Receptionist will perform the necessary administrative responsibilities to create a smooth transition from estimate to job completion, and maintain an open line of communication between our landscape professionals and our clients.

He/She must have good people skills to work with all other employees of Coldwater Landscapes and its clients to see that the overall goals of the clients and the company are met. These objectives require that the Receptionist must be able to communicate effectively, and must have strong organizational and time-management skills; the ability to follow directions; a steady head in a fast-paced environment, and good record-keeping skills to manage client and job information.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google-driven programs.
  • Business software experience.
  • Ability to recognize a problem and discover a solution.
  • Demonstrates initiative and pride in their responsibilities.
  • Potential to work with little supervision. Open to guidance from supervisors when necessary and prepared for routine evaluations.
  • Friendly, professional, and willing to work as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college education is preferred.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1-2 Years of customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment is required.
  • Office experience in a landscaping, construction or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Google Suite, or related office software is required.
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation is required.


  • COMMUNICATION | Answering phone calls, and assisting walk-in clients in a friendly, yet professional manner. The receptionist should be proactive during each client encounter to gather all necessary information
  • ORGANIZATION | Maintain the filing system and ensure all paperwork is put in the proper location. Performs routine inventory and ordering of supplies as needed as well as office housekeeping.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE | Consistently deliver excellent customer service and conflict resolution. Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail. Provide information by answering questions and requests. Provide timely and exceptional verbal and electronic communication. Work to address and resolve client issues by evaluating * concerns and developing solutions.
  • SCHEDULING* | Work with all managers for proper calendar management and assist all other administrative personnel on tasks when needed.


  • Work hours: Approximately 40 hours per week (8A.M. - 5PM).

This may require additional hours to complete the task at hand and answer all communications.

  • Indoor: climate-controlled office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
