The Role:  Your efforts and ultimate successes should be measurable and recognizable as you strive daily within LCU’s vision: “to value people over profit, proactively seek improvement, work passionately, exceed expectations, and make our community a better place”. You will serve as liaison between the member and Commercial Lenders and Underwriters. You will be responsible for processing commercial loan requests, renewals of existing loans, and annual reviews as well as ensuring proper documentation for closing loan, perfecting liens and adherence to policies and procedures.
What you will do:

  •  Represent the credit union to all Members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
  • Maintain knowledge and skillset regarding commercial loan products, services, policies, and procedures of the credit union.
  • Open new business accounts as needed for Commercial/Business members and their guarantors.
  • Complete requests from business members and their guarantors for loan payments, transfers, check orders, line of credit advances, stop payments, etc. in a proficient manner.
  • Work closely with assigned Commercial Loan Officers regarding the management of new loan requests and the renewal of existing loans, and annual reviews.
  • Work closely with Underwriters and Credit Analysts regarding new loan requests, renewals of existing loans, and annual reviews.
  • Proficiently utilize platforms such as Episys, LoanVantage, Compliance One, Equity Valuation Partners, ServiceLink, Evans Simpson, and others.
  • Process new commercial loan requests, renewals of existing loans and annual reviews in a timely manner; pull credit, submit request to Underwriting, order and review title searches, insurance, appraisals/AVM’s, flood certifications, and all other related documents necessary to ensure accordance with legal and procedural/policy compliance requirements and to ensure Member satisfaction.
  • Prepare and obtain all closing documents in a timely manner to ensure member satisfaction for delivery to the attorney/closing agent for closing or in-house closing, assuring Listerhill Credit Union’s lien position and legal/procedural/policy compliance requirements.
  • Accurately disburse loans proceeds and closings costs; wiring funds as needed.
  • Ensure branches are balanced daily, i.e.
  • Satisfy any requirements mandated by Underwriting staff.
  • Organize all closed loan files to ensure accurate documentation, perfected lien position, proper disbursal, correct payment arrangements, adequate insurance coverage, etc.
  • Monitor business loans daily, monthly, and annually. 
  • Cross sell credit union products and services.
  • Prepare denial letter(s) when necessary.
  • Actively participate in the annual budget process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years financial services experience with some commercial background
  • Knowledge of basic consumer and commercial lending concepts and guidelines
  • Must possess a professional demeanor and personality conducive to sales and service culture. (This qualification will be measured by validated testing)
  • Must possess strong PC skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as organization skills
