Payroll/Billing Clerk

B.H. Craig Construction is seeking a qualified Payroll/Billing Clerk. Knowledge of union construction payroll and Sage Accounting Software is a plus. Position offers excellent benefits and a great working environment.
Candidates must be able to conduct all phases of weekly payroll. This will include the maintenance of all personnel records, processing, verifying weekly time sheets, obtain supervisor approvals, and issue checks for payment.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly payroll
  • Prepare weekly labor reports
  • Verify employee withholdings and remit payment to appropriate party
  • Review and enter new hire paperwork data into software and file into employee personnel files
  • Process monthly union reports and remit payments
  • Process certified payrolls accurately in a timely basis
  • Organize and maintain daily job billings including labor costs, invoices, subcontractors, etc. for jobs
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality of company information
  • Perform other related duties as requested/required
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma  
  • Minimum 1-3 years of payroll experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Sage 300 is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Good organization and time-management skills
