DESCRIPTION:Kazari means "to decorate" or "to adorn". It can also refer to the act of decorating itself. The word is used to describe the interplay between objects and their settings\, and the way that decoration can transform ordinary spaces into something sacred. Drawn largely from the private Asian collection of Mr. Lynn Ray of Florence\, AL\, Kazari: Decorative Arts of Japan will examine the material culture of Japan through pieces from the 17th century   20th century. Other works to be included in the exhibit will be drawn from the private collection of Wanda Isom and the Isom Collection (TVAA permanent collection).
