Hi! My name is Amy Dodson, and I am the Career Coach for Muscle Shoals City Schools.Â

I work with students across the district providing career awareness and advocating for career technical programs. I promote college and career readiness in several ways by assisting with resumes and
interviews, job shadowing
opportunities, college and industry tours, career assessments, and employability skills, to name a few. My goal is to assist with building our future workforce to continue to keep our community growing and thriving.

Alabama Workforce Stabilization Program (AWSP) grants are employer-friendly, can be used for existing & new employees, can be used for various training topics, there is no match required and no minimum or maximum number of participants.Â
Â
Primary training areas include, but are not limited to: healthcare, construction, advanced manufacturing, IT / cyber security and transportation / logistics. Note: this includes both if a job within your business does these activities, as well as if this is your primary industry.

Leadership & Management Development

Leadership & ManagementÂ
Development courses are modular 2-hour sessions that can be delivered on-site. The classes are interactive with activities and assessments that help supervisors and managers understand their strengths and possible areas of improvement and to help employees gain a sense of personal leadership. The interactive learning is key to understanding not only your own management skills but also those of your teammates and coworkers.
