Mane Month: The Perfect Way to Kick Off the School Year
It is often said that at the University of North Alabama, there are 13 months in a calendar year.
Between the months of August and September, students and faculty gather for a month-long celebration known as Mane Month- a coordination of daily activities and events hosted by various groups, student organizations, and departments across campus during the beginning of the fall semester. Mane Month is the perfect opportunity for new students to not only get acclimated to campus, but also mingle with their friends and make new ones. This year, Mane Month kicks off on August 12th with the first CPH Sorority Recruitment event, and wraps up with tailgating activities on September 11th for UNA's first home football game against the Chattanooga Mocs.
Perhaps the largest and most popular Mane Month event of them all is The Big Deal. At The Big Deal, local vendors and businesses set up shop at the Memorial Amphitheater in heart of UNA's campus where students can browse through their merchandise, receive informational materials, and pick up some free food and UNA gear.
