Dr. Kennedy later earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2011 and purchased her practice, Cypress Creek Dental, in 2012 from Dr. Ted Harp. Dr. Kennedy loved seeing the same patients continue to book appointments after Dr. Harp’s retirement and bring their friends and relatives, too.
 
Dr. Kennedy has and continues to attend advanced education courses so she is able to stay on the forefront of advances in the dental field. She has also completed advanced training and offers Invisalign, Botox, and dermal fillers. She lives by the motto, “Life is too short to not do what you love!”
 
“I’ve always tried to put myself into my patient’s shoes, because I know how nerve-racking it can be to go to the doctor or dentist’s office,” says Dr. Kennedy. Everyone in her office tries to calm the nerves of the patients and makes them feel at home. “I love my team,” she says, “they are some of the most loving and caring people I know.” Through dentistry, Dr. Tia Kennedy has been able to provide others with the hope of a brighter smile.
