Vintage Autos Owner Jason Schurfeld’s journey with cars started when his grandfather worked in the customized van business. After his grandfather sold the business in the 1980s to open body shops instead, his family moved to Florida. After 11 years, they decided to move back to the Shoals. Since the age of 18, Jason has been selling cars. From the side of the road, to Arbor Place Imports in Atlanta, to managing the Porsche of Huntsville, to Vintage Autos, he has always had a passion for cars. “If you enjoy what you’re doing and you’re 100 percent into it, it’s not a job,” Jason said.
 
Jason has bought and sold cars ranging from one thousand dollars to a million dollars. He has a strong eye for what will sell and seeks out cars with memorable features. He loves uniquely colored cars and will drive thousands of miles to get that rare car with an extraordinary story. “A story will carry a car a lot more than one without a story,” he said. With that idea, he will go through some of the hardest obstacles to find the history of a particular car. For example, he discovered a 1969 Chevelle with only 39,000 miles on it. He searched tirelessly until he found four of its previous owners to learn the story behind the wheels.
 
As well as millions of interesting stories, Jason also has over 20,000 contacts in his clientele list. He has had numerous requests from larger companies to sell his list, of which he refuses. But, who could blame them when his clients include professional athletes and famous actors?
