Superhero Chefs is a superhero-themed restaurant that serves urban eclectic American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Celebrity Chef Darnell Ferguson is the Founder and Co-Owner of Superhero Chefs and has grown the restaurant from a pop up to resident locations that are growing in number. Darnell graduated from Sullivan Culinary School with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. Darnell’s claim to fame began when he was chosen to be a chef for the U.S. Olympic team during the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing, China. During his time as a chef to America’s finest athletes he obtained the nickname “Super Chef”. This name stuck and became the inspiration for his first restaurants name, Super Chefs.

Darnell went on to be featured on popular TV shows such as The Rachael Ray Show, Guy’s Grocery Games and Beat Bobby Flay. He also made appearances on The Food Network, The 700 Club, HLN, The Cooking Channel, Headline News HLN, The Travel Channel: Greatest Breakfast in America Areas Fall 2018 and many more. In 2018, he won the Food Network's Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge, where he created his spectacular dessert the granola encrusted apple pie ice cream sandwich. These TV appearances boosted his status as a great chef and promoted his delectable dishes.

The first Superhero Chefs location opened up in 2012 in Kentucky and is named after Darnell, “Super Chef”. Darnell has since expanded to Tuscumbia, Alabama with the restaurant named Superhero Chefs. Faith has been a driving force in the expanding restaurant, as Darnell stands on the ideal of faith playing a major part in his role as head chef. This has transferred to the restaurant where they stress the importance of a mixture of “faith, food, and superheroes.” Superhero Chefs has plans to continue to expand to new areas and grow to new communities in the coming years, spreading good faith and good food.

When he is not being a Super Chef, Darnell loves giving back. Darnell works with numerous charities and often delivers motivational speeches to children in schools, youth detention centers and at-risk youths. He has lived an inspiring life, and is a testament to how cooking can change lives. He travels throughout the country inspiring people with the message of his personal journey and sharing his unique food creations.
